Wulamanayuwi (pronounced “Wool-a – man – aye – you”) and the Seven Pamanuiis a joyful romp through a familiar tale of myth, magic and adventure.

Opera in the Castle 2014
Sunshine Castle
David Low Way, Bli Bli
Sat 7pm | Sun 4pm

The Sunshine Castle is pleased to announce the 6th Concert in a row at the Sunshine Castle in Bli Bli.
Underground Opera director Bruce Edwards says: It has been a wonderful journey, over the last 6 years at the Castle, that will continue for the years to come. We have seen some incredible performances from our outstanding casts and this year is even better!

Now it is time to secure your seats for Opera in the Castle before they all go. We look forward to seeing you at the show!

Laugh, cry and cheer!

The Underground Opera Company returns to the Sunshine Castle, Bli Bli, (just a 5-minute drive from Maroochydore) for their next Opera in the Castle€? concerts. Resonating through the magnificent Banquet Hall, some of Australia’s finest voices will perform a selection of pieces from popular operas and musical theatre showstoppers!

Audience members have commented:
I had never been to an Opera before but this has just converted me.
I have been to Opera concerts all around Australia and the world and this has certainly been one of the best.

The Underground Opera Company is making waves around Australia because of its unorthodox preference for underground performances...literally. The reason they like to perform underground is for the incredible acoustics, however, where there is no suitable underground venue we search for the best acoustics on the surface. They have found this at the Sunshine Castle, Bli Bli.

The beauty of our concerts is that repertoire will enrapture any audience whilst the quality of the performers will elate the most ardent opera aficionado.€? Opera in the Castle will feature a magnificent cast of Australia’s finest performing pieces from classic musicals such as The Sound of Music and Sweeney Todd as well as popular opera greats from Lakme, Rigoletto, the immortal Nessen Dorma from Turandot and many more.

This production makes for a wonderful experience and is recommended to anyone who loves music. With complimentary canapes served during interval in the Castle Courtyard and an audience limited to one hundred Opera in the Castle€? will set the standard for an intimate evening of beautiful music and extraordinary voices in a wonderful setting.
