Hedonism’s Second Album
Nambour Civic Centre
7.30pm

Hedonism's Second Album is a play about a fictitious Brisbane indie rock band Hedonism. As the story goes, Hedonism’s first album took everyone by surprise (especially themselves) and they’re determined to enjoy their newfound status as rock stars. Now all they have to do is record a second album and prove it wasn’t all a fluke.

But front man Gareth just can’t get it together: lead guitarist Chimney has got cold feet, Sumo the drummer is demanding a ten-minute solo and bass player Michael has up and vanished. After an all-weekend bender involving several school-aged girls, racial slurs on YouTube and a wombat from Australia Zoo, record label exec Phil is sent to pull the boys into line and prevent the looming PR disaster.  During the testosterone-fuelled fallout, closely-guarded secrets are laid bare and friendships tested.

Hedonism’s Second Album is a new Australian comedy from David Burton and Claire Christian for anyone who’s ever been let down by their favourite band, or their best mates.

Supported on the night by local bands, The Flumes and The Floating Bridges.

Directed by Margi Brown Ash

Daryl Braithwaite LIVE!
The Woombye Pub, Woombye
7.30pm to 11pm

n a distinguished career spanning more than 35 years Daryl Braithwaite is one of Australia’s award winning premier performers.

His initial success as a singer came with Sherbet, a band which will forever remain in the history books of Australian music. Between 1971 - 1979 Sherbet produced 20 national Top 40 singles and were the first Australian band to top the $1 million dollar mark in album sales in this country with a total of 15 albums and 30 singles to their credit with songs like Summer Love€? becoming the highest selling single of 1975 and Howzat not only a No #1 hit in Australia, but also achieved #2 in England.

Following the success of Sherbet, Daryl returned to the Australian Music Scene in a very big way as a solo performer in 1988 with the release of the phenomenally successful Album Edge which spent well over a year in the national charts.

And now Daryl will be joining us for one night only! Don't miss out!

Sat 6 Sep
Slim Dusty Tribute Show presented by Dave Reynolds
The Events Centre Caloundra
7.30pm

It’s been over a decade since Slim walked under the stage lights and held the audience spell-bound with ballads and stories of not only the bush but also the city; songs of mateship, the battlers, people that built our country, drovers, shearers, cooks, stories of trains, truckies, rodeos and just about anything else you can think of. All will be found in Slim’s songs. Some will bring a tear to the eye; some will make you howl with laughter. All will entertain you and probably bring back a memory or two.

Not only was Slim one of Australia’s biggest selling recording artists, but he also recorded more albums than any other Australian. He was the first Australian artist to be awarded a Gold Record overseas and the first in the world to have his music beamed down from outer space. With a stellar career that spanned many decades, he just seemed to gain more and more fans as the years went by.

Not only was Slim a legend in his own time, but his music and popularity still endured. I am honoured to have had the opportunity to have worked with him and am proud to be able to bring this show to his legions of fans as a tribute to an Australian icon and decent bloke.

Fri 26 Sept
Vintage Diamond
The Ultimate Neil Diamond Tribute Show
presented by Happy Days Records
The Events Centre Caloundra
8pm

Step back in to the 1970’s as we capture the hits and sound of Neil Diamond’s Vintage years in this two-hour Diamond production.

Vintage Diamond is a show performance reminiscent to that of the legendary 1972 concert album Hot August Night, recorded live at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The Vintage Diamond show brings us back to the fabulous 1970’s tours that give rise to Neil Diamonds superstar status and ongoing popularity of world wide hit songs.

Perfectly recapturing the sound, songs, and look of the era, Will Mastromanno (Will Mastro) has enthralled audiences in Australia and abroad, having completed a four-month run on the amazing Norwegian Epic Cruise Line with Americas longest running and most established Artist Tribute show Legends In Concert located in Las Vegas and performing to audiences throughout the Eastern & Western Caribbean in the Bahamas, Roatan Honduras, Cozumel Mexico, St Martin, St Thomas and the transatlantic across to Europe/Spain.

Forming the Vintage Diamond concept in late 2008, Will was drawn to Neil Diamond and his legacy of world wide hits and was influenced to form his 70’s Vintage tribute and pay homage to the Diamond Legacy.

Will’s 70’s performance is one of a kind unlike any other Neil Impersonation, being the first to authentically cover this particular era with so much detail.

The Vintage Diamond Tribute has successfully entertained audiences of all ages & Diamond fans alike. For those who have forgotten what Neil Diamond looked like yesteryear or those who have not seen Neil’s early performances, this show brings forward the talent, magnitude, charisma and sex appeal that transformed the early Neil Diamond from singer songwriter to a popular Star.
